Auditions
NaperVoice welcomes both experienced amateur choral singers of college age and older and trained, experienced professional singers to audition for this unique choral ensemble!
Concert repertoire may be quite diverse depending on the program, including classical, world, musical theater, gospel, and vocal jazz genres. The choir raises funds for charitable organizations in Naperville and beyond through a unique “Concerts for a Cause” strategy. NaperVoice actively supports efforts to achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion in matters of race, gender, and age.
NaperVoice also offers 1-2 PAID three-month College/University Student Internships and one PAID High School Student Internship. The college positions include one for Student Conductor/Choral Singer and one for Soloist/Choral Singer. The high school position is for Instrumental Soloist. Email Philip Spencer at napervoice@gmail.com for more information and application.
*Auditions are currently closed for the Spring 2025 concert.
Are you a choral singer of college age or older in the western suburbs of Chicago who would like to perform with a nucleus of professional singers in this philanthropic choir based in Naperville?
Compensated Singers
NaperVoice performs two concerts per year, one in April and one in November. Each concert is preceded by six Monday evening rehearsals for compensated singers and a Monday evening dress rehearsal. Compensation for the five rehearsals, dress rehearsal, and concert is very competitive, with the opportunity for additional earnings through a generous percentage of presale concert ticket revenue. There is capacity for up to 16 compensated singers who perform a portion of each concert as a separate smaller ensemble in addition to singing with the other choir members.
Non-Compensated Singers
NaperVoice performs two concerts per year, one in April and one in November. Each concert is preceded by nine Monday evening rehearsals for non-compensated singers and a Monday evening dress rehearsal. There is no registration fee, but singers are required to purchase their own music and sell a minimum number of concert tickets.
